Postponed Games |
 |
There were quite a few field closures for this Spring Season. Games that are affected by the closures will be noted on the schedules as "Postponed" until the reschedule game date and time are arranges (see below).
What to do next??? Contact the opposing team manager and/or coach. With a coordinated effort, arrange for a suitable make-up date and time. Home Team coach/manager should contact their Club Field Scheduler to verify when fields are available. Once all is arranged, Submit Reschedule Update Info to supply game information to MYRSL League Administration.
Things to be aware of... Factors used in scheduling are both teams conflicts and club field conflicts. Weeknight make-ups may be the only available make-up dates.
Reschedule ideas: * There is no restriction at the district/league level on the number of league games that a team may play in one day. We will not schedule teams for more than one game in a day, but it is an option for reschedule. Please check with your club's Field Scheduler to see your options. * Memorial Day weekend can be used for games, but in limited amounts due to referee availability. * Weeknight games.

Schedule Changes Reminder |
 |
There are a lot of games out there that are attempted to be rescheduled. Per the Metro District Rules and Regulation (viewable at http://www.myrsl.org/viewpage.php?page_id=16):
Rule #5 Game Changes All games are to be played at the scheduled place and time. The MYRSL will not approve any game changes. This means that on the scheduled game date, a score for that game must be reported or each team will be charged with a forfeit of the game. Inclement weather is the only approved reason for game rescheduling. * Participation in additional tournaments (tournaments not given on Registration Form or Conflict Form) is not acceptable for League Game(s) change. These league games will result in a forfeit and fines may be accessed, if team does not show. ***************************
Everyone had agreed to this rule at time of registration and/or conflict submission.
There is no need to contact the other team for acceptance of reschedule without prior approval of the League Director, John Janasik. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Any improper rescheduling attempts may incure sanctions including forfeits and fines.

Online Schedules and Twitter |
 |
Please verify your schedules online. There have been a few changes due to various reasons. The online schedules are the official schedules that are approved by MYRSL Administration and are to be offical for referees.
As a reminder, MYRSL does not allow un-approved changes, nor conflicts that were not provided on the conflict submissions due back in January.
The Weather is looking great up to the weekend. As it stands right now, all games should be played as scheduled.
Twitter will be used to communicate field closures. Register for Twitter today and "Follow" with your Mobile Phone to receive Text Messaged info about field closures during the soccer season. Hopefully, we will not have to utilize it. But if necessary, it will make life easier to know if your commute to a game to worth-while.
